I recently sold a salty old TA33 on the EE, and the buyer messaged me and said he couldn’t find a serial to send it back to Trijicon for a refurb. I looked at the listing pics and I’ll be damned, I can’t see any serials anywhere on the body. It was a real TA33; never even heard of a fake one and I’ve handled enough real ones to know. But I didn’t buy it new, it had been previously painted, and I’m trying to figure out what the heck is going on here. Did the old TA33’s not have serials stamped into the body like on a TA31? | I own two TA33's. One has the serial# stamped into the left side of the scope body, and also on the left side of the eyepiece. The second has the serial# stamped on the underside of the scope body and also on the underside of the eyepiece. So over time Trijicon has changed where the serial number is located. |

That looks to be a very early model as it doesn't have the newer RMR attachment points. I found an early manual online and the photo in it doesn't appear to have a SN on the sight. Page 11 figure 5 TA33 Manual Also found this picture from an online sales site, hopefully not the same exact optic as yours Attached File |

@Joguwa86 Tell him to look on the very bottom where the eyepiece bolts to the rest of the body. To the rear of the mount(rear meaning toward the shoulder of it was mounted on a gun) I’ve had a couple old enough to not have the RMR mount bosses etc. I don’t remember when the ta33 came out but it’s been a while, there’s a couple design changes |
