Just installed the new Sylvan Arms Gen 4 Folding Stock Adapter. Install was easy. Looks good and the QD mounts are a nice touch. The hold open detent works good. Latches and unlatches well. My only issue is there is a 2.5 to 3mm gap/play when the latch is closed. I put a magazine through the gun with no issues but that gap bothers me. I sent an email to Sylvan to see if this is a normal condition or not. Check out my review and unboxing video if you want. Update: the gap/play is not normal according to SA. | Had the same experience as the OP. Slight gap and play. Sent an email and Sylvan replaced it. Replacement is perfect. No gap or play and locks tight. IMO the design is well thought out and it doesn't require the buffer detent. Slick installation. Can't complain and Sylvan's customer service has been exemplary. |

Changing configuration doesn’t ever require a new F1 so long as you can revert back to the originally registered configuration. Seeing as you can just simply remove the folding adapter, that wouldn’t be a problem. |

You can only shoot the LAW open with their ARIC carrier, which doesn’t require a buffer tube at all. Otherwise a standard AR obviously will not function without a buffer tube. |
