Amazing amount of play/rotation vs a retro carbine handguard on same rifle. B5 is locked up tight no issues, m500 10 degrees of rotation. Not quite sure how to fix with the aluminum foil trick, it is waaay off, |

Wobble on the barrel fore end cap (end cap moving on barrel maybe), or back barrel nut spine/delta ring side? Hence if your looking to add something to hang on forearm, then really want to go with float tube type fore end, that you can lock solid to its barrel nut to start with. |

Generally the Surefire M500 series millennium lights fit tighter as compared to traditional handguards. In addition to the above from Dano, I would also suggest making sure that the barrel nut is tight, and properly torqued. I have seen loose barrel nuts that allow the forends to wiggle.
