I was watching a buddy install a super safety. The middle position works as a safety. This is not how it should be. If the safety is rotated where the lever is forward or by the hammer it will fire. But if the safety is rotated where the lever is to the rear it won’t fire. The safety position works as it should. The fire position works as it should. Or safety all the way to the left. Just the middle position does not work. Any ideas? Thanks |

Moving the lever back forces the trigger to stay forward, effectively putting it on safe, that's where the tongue in cheek name "super safe" comes from. You need to test it with and upper and cycle the charging handle while holding the trigger down. In the middle position you'll feel the trigger get forced forward as you pull the bolt back, then when you let it go forward while still putting pressure on the trigger it should fire just as the bolt returns in battery. |

The trigger feels like it’s on safe. Does not move. I hope I can explain this is. So charge the rifle and it won’t fire in the middle position. Looking at the right side of the rifle I can turn the safety clockwise then it will fire. When I cycle the rifle the safety rotates counterclockwise. The rifle won’t fire. If I rotate the safety clockwise it will fire. I have watched a video where I can see the safety rotating as the rifle fires. So I think this is my problem. |
