I have a couple MagPul MOE sticks that have been on my rifles for years. I mean years. I have an end plate that has a QD point and I have never been found of it. I thought about switching it out to one that has QD points on both sides and the rear but not sure I would like that or not. Has anyone tried a Magapul MOE QD sling attachment for M-Lok rails on their stock? If so, how well does it hold up? I may have one of those in my pile of parts. I also think it will not work on the rear opening due to the round socket. The other two options I’ve thought about are the Blue Force Gear loop. I know I would have to make the opening just a tad bigger in one area to get the wire through and that’s okay with me. My other option is the mount from IWC that I know will work. Has anyone used this one? If worse comes to worse I’ll just change my stock out and paint it and go with it. Thanks for the info and help. |

Eventually bought a CTR, which has the QD socket built into the stock. About a year later I ended up ditching QD on the rear of all of my AR's and just have the slings threaded through the footman's loop. |

I still use a QD swivel on the handguard, but don't see any need to be able to detach the sling at both ends. I can disconnect it from the upper for cleaning, which is really the only reason I need QD at all on most of my rifles. |

The Blue Force Gear Uloops come undone for me under any sort of real use. I think they're downright hazardous. The MOE is made to loop the sling through it. Somebody makes a QD for it that clips on. It's expensive and looks bulky. You can find it with Google. In my opinion, if you want a QD on the stock, you need a different stock. Edit: Here's the link: Impact Weapons Components |
