Looks like South Korea is updating it's M16A1's for their reservists. Found some pics on Reddit but not where they came from yet. Kinda neat. MNT-993 is a UTG Carry Handle Rail.. Not one of the good ones either.  https://www.classicfirearms.com/ar15-tactical-scope-mount/ Their earlier products reminded me of pot metal with some weird glossy paint. New products/accusync/slim/utg pro are g2g. The stock is also UTG but is kind of decent for what it is. |

I can't believe a rifle intended for Koreans has such a long LOP. I've shot one quite a bit. Holding one feels like you have a rock in your shoe that just won't come out. Just isn't comfortable at all. |

Just isn't comfortable at all. You referring to the side folding plastic stock K2 or the grease gun style extending wire stock on the K1A1? The K2 stock is just about perfect ergos IMHO. I might make it a hair shorter, but overall they really nailed a comfortable and solid sidefolder as far as I am concerned! The K1A1 wire stock is absurdly long when fully extended, but there is a mid position notch that if you a 5 foot nothing and wearing body armory would likely be pretty comfortable.
