BreakFree CLP used to distribute samples in little foil tear open packets. Where can I find these? 1oz bottle is too wide to fit in buttstock compartment of the Cav-15. .5 oz plastic bottles on Amazon all look like they leak. (Slip has small poly tube samples of EWL. Looking for something similar in a CLP.) Attached File |

Closest thing I can find are the rem oil wipes, but they aren’t cheap. You might be better off heat sealing your own. I’ve got some of the 3ml bottles LaRue used to give out of the Machine Gunners Lube and they have never leaked on me |

dunno... i only have quart and gallon jugs of it. mines the old shit with teflon you have to shake to mix up.

The M1 carbine oiler will fit, and the eBay seller says they don't leak. We'll see. eBay also has 20mL bottles of BreakFree CLP that look small enough to fit, although it kills me to pay $9/bottle for it (tax & shipping included). I already have the Slip2000 lubricant packets, they fit great, but although I use Slip lubes almost exclusively on everything I own, I want a CLP cleaner/lube for this particular rifle. |

Update: I bought the M1 carbine oilers and found .68oz BreakFree bottles on eBay. The carbine oilers don't inspire confidence--the washer appears to be made of cork? I might try to find a viton o-ring of the correct size and see if that seals it, and try the cork too to see if it leaks. The BreakFree bottles just fit barely inside the buttstock, so that's my plan for now. One bottle, a cut-down toothbrush, and a pull-through boresnake. Hey @glenn_r, I know you're looking for CLP, but if you're interested in dependable packets that won't leak, Mpro7 makes their LPx oil that seems to be superior to traditional Breakfree CLP. I switched over to Mpro7 LPx oil about 5 years ago and I like it a lot better. It's a tad more expensive but it seems to do everything CLP does but also lasts longer and stays put. I put a few pillow packs in all my handgrips. They have the 2cc packs with a bottle of 10 and and they're $15 on Amazon but can be had a few bucks cheaper elsewhere. Just throwing that out there.
