Converted some of my stash to brass. Hate tossing the Port and SA stuff tho. The 54 30/06 TW ran very nicely in my Garand. Guat 5.56 ran perfect as usual.

You're an ammo whore if you don't shoot because you might deplete your stash. You're an ammo whore if you don't shoot because your stash might be reduced to a non-integer multiple of 1000 rounds. You're an ammo whore if you feel the immediate need to order another case of ammo after you shot 2 boxes. You're an ammo whore if you periodically take inventory of your children stash ammo and feel a deep sense of satisfaction that it's all there - followed by a feeling of severe inadequacy. Great quote.... I like to think of myself as more of an exclusive call girl than a whore. I don't know what I have, but I DO know that I sent a friend of mine home with a trailer full of sealed cases to stack in his detached office/shop, since I had run out of room. Are you a whore when you buy 6, 000 rounds of 7.65 Argentine BEFORE you find a 98/09 Mauser? Or are you just forward thinking? And don't you just HATE to break the seal on a new case? I have my stash and when I feel the need to uncork a few I buy the ammo to shoot, lest I intrude on my stash. PLUS I just ordered 2,800 of that SA .308 surplus that AIM had for about 30 minutes. When I die there will be a HELL of a garage sale..... |

I passed on a couple cases of russian, one of the 30 calibers long case, when taking it from the guy would somehow make me forgive him for a resent nasty bit. Even though I don't have the gun, I would have grabbed that in a heartbeat under better circumstances, just to trade. Anyway last week I had a panic ammo buy and ordered 17 cases or I forget of .308 and 30.06. Got a few of the LC from CMP the day they went out of stock forever. (got lots of Greek left) five cases from the TFL group buy of which three were match(new prod). A few cases of SA battlepacks from somewhere I sent a check. Huge batch of raufus in .308. seven cases of Greek from CMP, half in bandos. Then I shopped for the odd case here and there, some privi and other stuff which I won't remember until it arrives. Summer Ammo Christmas or something. Ten from CMP, five from the group buy and assorted cases. I can't help it. When the ammo horizon looks grim cause the US Gov just ordered a ten year contract to supply all military calibers. No surplus unless it comes out of hiding from overseas, maybe the South Africans will have another leak. So it's gonna be new production or reloads and I have all the reloading stuff except .308 which is the current years gun habit. Got ammo? ARDog |

$14.96 x 50 rounds per box = 299.20 per k for 9 mil. thats not bad

My math was screwed up.................... I'm paying 69.80 per 500 so that makes it about 150.00 per 1K. That's good for me and its Remington....The reason I shoot the Remington instead of the WWB is that LRM169 suppressors says not to shoot it through their uppers....... so its all good for me
