Hey all, where is everyone putting their 2nd optic on their AR'S? Towards the front of the scope or towards the rear? TIA!

I like in front of the ejection port. Assuming NV passive usage and 0-50 since this is an offset, on the barrel nut section of a free float handguard shouldn't be too bad. Best answer is a Reptillia AUS or Badger Ordinance C1 if you have the funds as the dot mount goes on the scope mount. |

There is actually a case to be made for not having the dot on your primary optic mount. In the unforeseen and unlikely event one of the optics is hit hard enough to damage the mount, they are not slaved together. My preference is for the Arisaka offset using the 35 degree option for LPVO. I prefer it in front of my primary optic mount even if that means it goes on the rear portion of the handguard. |
