What maker puts serial numbers on receivers and barrels. A guy showed me a rifle with a 5 digit number and the Square forge mark on the upper receiver and the same number on the barrel. I’ve never seen this before. On the barrel it’s right above the 5.56 1:7 marks and has M P next to it. I’m not on any photo hosting site, so don’t see away to attach pics. Thanks |

FWIW, all modern .Mil upper receivers and barrels will be CAGE marked with the manufacturer's info. (A Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code marking is a stamped, etched, or printed five-character ID on manufactured parts, equipment, or packaging that identifies the exact business and physical location that made or supplied the item.) |
