| I'm interested in one of these, just hoping folks can give me some insight on these. I have read the 50+ page thread on the SFAR, but looking for recent reviews on the 6.5. Is it the general consensus that they have worked out the bugs? thanks for any help |

I’m not following the SFAR, but I will say the 6.5 Creedmoor benefits from a longer gas system as the .308, for example. My DPMS in 6.5 with 24” tube had a rifle length gas system. It was very rough on brass. I converted it to rifle length +2” and it’s now much more easy on brass. Attached File |

I am interested as well. Wondering if the 20” is more reliable than the 16” version seems to be, both with and without suppressor and if it might work out of the box without tuning of the buffer weights or a new gas block. Most of the YouTube videos with issues seem to be a couple of years old. Have they fixed any of the issues? |

To me the SFAR’s biggest issue is its gas block. The stock gas block is big, very nearly touches the stock rail. While firing it 100% slaps the rail which doesn’t help accuracy. Replace the gas block with an adjustable with lots of settings to tune recoil and not hit the rail and it’s a hell of a gun for the price. Rifle speed is much smaller profile and has 12 settings. Ruger just shit the bed with that gas block |

The gas tower part of the rifle speed is BCM/ low profile ar15 size, very smalls. The circumference is a bit chunky. It should fit but even if it doesn’t clamp on rails are sub $100 |
