| I recently got a 1-10 Razor. I like it so far. Super clear and the mil reticle is great. But I have noticed an issue that only seems to trouble me when zeroing at 100. If I set the diopter so it's flat and clear with a sharp reticle at 1 and 10x,my target at 100 yards is very slightly blurry. If I back off the diopter until the 100 yard target is clear, the 1x image gets blurry around the outside edges. Distance after 100 is still sharp. Is this just a tradeoff I have to deal with because the 10x erector in such a short package? I can live with it. Just wondering if it's normal |

Yeah, you’ll get that. We were just talking about that in the other thread. Whether this exists or how will usually be ‘yes’ and how much will be dictated by: The magnification ratio (higher being more shift), size, cost, and most importantly your eyesight. Fixes include improving the above, spending more on a more expensive optic, getting a bigger optic, getting a more expensive optic, getting a 1-4/1-6 instead of a 1-8/1-10, and any prescriptive fixes to your eyesight. In the interim usually what I recommend is either setting it to the magnification you most use and letting the other end sacrifice some, or splitting the difference by focusing at mid-magnification. None of this is inherent to the Razor, but you can see from the above that being a 1-10 it’ll be more prone to this than say a Razor 1-6 or P4Xi etc. |

This has been a tradeoff with every LPVO Ive used including the Razor. My default is to set the 1x to perfectly flat and the resulting slightly soft target at magnification is usually no big deal, but I think you could make the opposite argument as well and it would be equally valid... marking both spots on the diopter so you can flip it depending on what you are doing is likely not a bad solution. |

I was concerned that adjusting the diopter just to make it clear at 100 for zeroing may have some effect on parallax. I fired a couple groups using both settings and the poi didnt seem to change. So it seems to be a good solution. |
