i was on their website looking at the new 2 stage ar15 trigger and just noticed they simplified the design and no longer have the rear safety sear style lever but instead seem to have integrated it into the main body working off of the rear trigger pin sleeve or something. the shape and design of the box looks totally different. |

Yep and the longer AS designs and Partisan take to get the HK jobs out, the more RB will sell. Some people are on a clock with bans, and dont have time to fuck around, despite how they feel about RB. Also its funny we ALL know what the first reply to this thread was even though we can't see it LOL. I do wonder if RB pushing stuff to market comes with issues on function and stuff. I havent seen enough of the MP5 pack in action, but the simple advent of not having a slip trip rattling around in there is enough to make all the ones with a slip trip obsolete, if it work The two stage is very interesting, a way to compete with ASD with a G$ |

Just got my ambi. they do small drops usually around 5:45 - 6 pm est time. Videos are around all over YouTube, I tried personally and it runs. The selector travel is a tab mushy, and overly easy to switch between positions, and on the ambi pack, you can rotate the selector past safe and into the "disassembly" position....some guys on HK pro contacted rare breed and they said they plan to fix that issues in a future version. It takes more force to rotate it past safe then it does between the normal positions, but it's still meh and pretty sloppy they missed that ...could have been solved pretty easily. I do like you can use normal housings though, cause I just can't get over the non HK style housings on mp5s....it triggers my HKOCD |

I don't know, RB has been at this longer than ASD and Partisan. Not sure how much of a rush it is. The others are still playing catch up with even their AR designed frt. My opinion anyhow. I was not aware they came out with a 2 stage AR trigger. Thanks for posting this. . |

| The ONLY reason I can think of rushing a FRT is I’m surprised the DemonRats haven’t introduced a bill to ban them. They have to be aware of them. |

My general distaste for Rare Breed aside, I would likely buy one of their 2 stage triggers. It's about the same price as an Arc Fire plus a G$, so it is priced okay. My concern is their return policy and general lack of customer support should it turn out to be janky. There is the additional concern, with their updated privacy policy and new cooperation with the Feds, that they'd be willing or even required to hand over customer data in the future. I don't like the thought of that one bit. It's in consideration, but I'm going to wait a while as I have no desire to be a beta tester. Plus, with the 45 degree throw Arc Fire coming out, I'm probably just getting that next. |
|
I'm going to guess the 650 price is figured due to what a lee lower and all the rest of the stuff for a SS cost. I have 600 +/- into my SP5 SS. I was also a very early adopter having to figure it out my self with no real trouble shooting or real world input accept the vids then on Utube just showing them run. I'm still running the V.1 SS with no issues I'd be down with getting a cassette type FRT for a 600 ball park price to replace the lee lower. Just not from RB due to issues already mentioned. |

| Guessing I am the odd duck here, but since switching a couple of different frts in lowers, I am digging not having 2 stage triggers. I go back the very first G triggers. "gotta have 2-stage in everything". I find the single stage trigger to be much simpler in my pea brain to shoot, especially in frt mode. |

I agree with you, I don't mind the single stage on the FRTs I have at all, and won't be swapping any of those to this newer design (even though it does seem like a better design overall, time and testing will tell). However, for my colt lower it's the perfect solution. The FRT on this is still single stage and feels the same as my other FRTs as far as break and pull, which I am pleased with. |

My foray into 2-stage triggers was LaRue MBT for $99. I have always been of the opinion that the AR is a gun plumber's gun and I never saw the need for me to spend $250-$350 on a Geissele trigger. Right now I am digging the single-stage ALG QMS (also from Geissele) with the 4.5 lb hammer spring. I got that combo for about $45. And further, I am put off by all of the gyrations it takes to make a Geissele two stage work with a SS/FRT. Grind this, grind that (but not too much!) and add this lever blocker to make it work. |

Everything still works as normal? |

That would help me out a lot! |

Hope that makes sense... Question about the DMW selector rotating, up untill this point, it stays on FRT: https://i.ibb.co/67FzLV07/PXL-20260325-152639002.jpg everything past that is SAFE all the way to SAFE. Luckily the colt lower this is going in does have the stops, so it's not a big deal, but in a lower without stops, it would bother me and I would prob use the selector that comes with it vs the aftermarket Question about highest point of hammer when 3rd position and trigger held back...if you mean with the hammer reset I am getting 10mm. Measurement does not if trigger is held back or not. If you mean highest point with hammer dropped, I am getting 22.40mm, again I don't see it change at all regardless of if trigger held down or not. I was curious so I pulled out my regular single stage rare breed, and the hammer does indeed change heights on 3rd position when it is set and trigger is held back vs not; but the new design it does not do this. THANK YOU for taking the time to do that!! |

I've been trying to understand the FRT/SS space for the past few weeks and hav been overwhelmed by the many nuances of available options. I've already made some regretful purchases. It seems like there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer but different compromises. RB C3 can have selector and pins replaced to look mil-spec except the external trigger shoe. AZR has the full mil-spec look and feel, but doesn't fit Colt sear-blocked lowers. ARC has proprietary selector levers and doesn't fit Colt sear-blocked lowers or high-shelf lowers. It seems like the RB C3 is the easy answer for Colt lowers. And then a totally different question with AR-adjacent stuff like SIG MPX/MCX, AR9s, etc. |

If the reset does not "bump" your finger (via the trigger) forward, you are operating a machine gun. This is key to demonstrating a trigger pull for every round fired. The lever type FRTs (Hoffman, Cornfire, Atrius, ARC-Fire) do not bump your finger when firing in semi auto mode. They only bump it in FRT mode. |

I wonder if the lack of a spring on the trigger locking bar would make the two stage version easier to get running w/ a CMMG conversion and Bore Buddy trip. I'm all out of time for extra gun projects, but I am tempted. That said, in the land where the ARC/mil-ish selector/SSAE exists for around the same total price, it's hard to justify buying one. |
