Please beware of counterfeit parts on the market.
I know things are crazy in this industry right now, and there is just no way possible to the industry to meet the markets demands – BUT please use GREAT caution when buying brand name parts from non-authorized dealers. This customer bought “BCM” parts on gunbroker.com. He did not get what was advertised. The seller took a legit BCM carrier and removed the bolt and replaced it with a misc off brand (do not know the origins). As a result the part did not perform as expected. At this point it is obvious the bolt is junk, but it gets worse. The lugs exploded in such a grand fashion that a significantly large chunk of metal is somewhat permanently lodged in the chamber. Now the chamber is damaged and the entire barrel is unserviceable. 
As a note; BCM marks their bolt carrier groups (BCM logo on carrier and bolt). It is always the BEST bet to purchase BCM parts from BCM authorized dealers. http://www.bravocompanymfg.com/support/where_to_buy.php On another note; Bad News: In June a days worth of BCGs sold out in 20 hours. In Oct, a days worth of production sold out in about 1 hour. After the election a days worth sold in 10 min. Now 15 days worth of production sells out in 2 minutes. Other mfgs had similar results. I have a late 2008/early 2009 production BCG in the wrapper that has no markings at all on it besides a goldish "MP" and a subdued "CM" that has been parkerized over on the bolt. I am glad that you started marking your product in such an obvious fashion as it makes it easy to identify. With my NOS BCG it will be very hard for me to prove that it is actually a BCM product. ETA: I currently have 7 BCM BCG's and 3 spare bolts that I have bought over the years and they are my first choice when shopping

What we have noticed... a number of them can get caught in your SPAM filters, and I have seen some emails delayed by 10-15 minutes (which sucks when the products sell out in 5min). At this point the email notification lists in the database rivals that of most companies complete customer lists, so when that amount of emails are sent in bulk there can be even more delays? That is about the limit of my IT knowledge. The email notifications are part of the website software but it may be being taxed to the limits? Some BCGs will go online tomorrow (limit 1 per customer), however we have over 100+ emails for every BCG available. So 99%+ of potential customers will be upset. No fun on this end. |

Buy from trusted sources. Sadly +1, there are all ready lots of counterfeit parts out there, Aimpoint for sure but also Eotech, Larue, Magpul, ADM etc. It is getting harder and harder to tell what is real and what isn't. I was amazed at a recent gunshow seeing a fake Magpul sling, the only different I could find was the center ring was not the bronze/brass color. I wouldn't have noticed it either if I didn't have a real MS2 sling with me. |

| Maybe do this BCM have people put in a cell number that when u do it puts u in a que for a next in line like taking a number then u get a text and have say a certain time to respond or u lose your place to buy, then sell 1 per customer so everyone who needs one can get one...just an idea. |

Bravo, thanks for putting this out. Hopefully I can get one of those BCGs you put up tomorrow. I just need that, a CH and handguards to make it operational.
Pun, not everybody gets text messages though. I refuse to pay cell service provides for such a minute amount of data. I wish there was a way to know who actually needs a BCG for a build. It would be nice to finish my build without overpaying or having to wait forever. I'm probably going to wait forever since a lot of scared hoarders and those charging 2x or more for them keep buying them. |

Lots of "toy" and airsoft accessories being peddled as the real thing right now as well.
There's a lot to be said for hands on, eyes on inspection at your local dealer before buying rather than picking it up on line from an anonymous source and rolling the dice on what you're really getting. Steve/RRA. |
