totally agree. most people just want to shoot best they can utilizing what works best for them, never trying different stuff.

Moves you a bit more than the Mk12, eh?    Mk12's probably feel like .22lr's though.

This thread needs a healthy bump

New shooters being put through a crawl phase by me before the walk and running can begin.

The girl shooting my rifle in the above pic has now built a clone of my rifle that she borrowed. @Rich_V dimpled the barrel for her and helped out with the barrel install. @Lister was being a cheerleader slash heckler along with me

It wasn't every round, but he was hitting it.

The gong is a pretty big piece of steel- its a 4x3 foot gong-so it's sort of easy to hit with iron sights.

I think it's a little bit of both instruction, although he is a Marine, so they learned at bootcamp to use a Acog.

I don't have a picture of it, but he was also using the A4 clone with the Acog and was hitting it as well.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the mag well hold. Might be a bit less stable but this pic ain't life or death.

Now if you were holding the baseplate of the mag and shooting reman's, that's a little too sketchy for my taste. I enjoy having 10 digits.

Magwell and not squared up

Arfcom operators say that he already should be dead by now

He's fine for what it is. Some people forget that not every outting has to be super operating seriousness.

True the mag well hold is not dynamic enough for most ARFCOM oper8erz/body slayerz. Its hard to drive the weapon system platform system with a C clamp grip on mag well hold.  But for those of us who do not worship the old Magpul DVD's, Saint Costa or Pope Haley the mag well hold is A ok once in a while.

Honestly, it's the shooter who knows how to gainfully employ all positions with trained precision who will be the winner of outcomes. That my way or only this way or you're gonna die makes me laugh a lot. I keep scrolling.

Geissele mount attached to a Larue riser. Interesting. I assume to get the higher 1.93ish optic height? If it works it works.

Geissele doesn't make a 34mm 1.93" or 2.04" mount. This Geissele 34mm mount sits at 1.54", plus the LaRue RISR adds 0.5", to get it up to 2.04".

Thanks. I really dig it. I'm a big fan of 14.5 guns with midlength gas systems. The only thing is that rail gets hot quick without any rail panels.

Try an mlok RVG or the Mlok BCM Gunfighter thingy along with Magpul panels. Use the fore grip as a handstop so you can continue using your same grip.

I'm on the left. This was taken sometime late 2014/early 2015. Not technically my rifle, but I was signed for it at the time. I've tried to clone it as accurately as possible to satisfy my nostalgia.
