Well they will fit together IF you grind a little off the back of the upper where it curves. Filed a little off at a time until it closed the gap.  GOt it all down to where it should fit and found another slight issue. The rear lug take down pin hole wasnt drilled totally straight. Side the pin would slide into was correct, the other side a few thou offset. Nothing a mill bit couldnt fix. Once that was done, pin went in. Then had to clean out all the filing dust that still found its way into the upper with it all taped off. Then for the big test after cleaning it up. Put the bolt and side chrging handle back in. Pulled it back and yippie, the bolt didnt stick and went home when released. Total cost so far $70 for the PSA Sabre-10 lower (blem) $109 for the lower completion kit (lpk, buffer tube/spring and stock) $265 for the 20" BCA upper. For a total of $444 Need to get rings for the scope (Vortex Strike Eagle 4-24) Want to put a brake on it. Also would like to replace the stock with a Magpul one. Still need to repaint the area that was filed down.  |

Well picked up a MI .30 cal 3 chamber brake ($30) and a Magpul PR stock (which went on a different rifle and put that ones Magpul MOE stock on this one. Fleet Farm didnt have any Vortex Pro 30MM high mounts in stock. Have to go to a different one north of me. If this ends up being a decent rifle, I may get another PSA AR10 lower (or Sabre 10 if they are on blem discount again) and make a sbr out of it. |

Had it out today for its 1st time. Put 1 round in the mag. Put it on the bags and pulled the trigger from as far as I could be from the rifle, juuuuust in case it blows. Fired fine. Put 5 round in and 1st 2 rounds went good, 3rd round didnt totally go in the chamber. Cleared it. Same thing happened for the next 2 mags of 5. 4th mag of 5 all went just fine. Then filled it to 10 rounds. No hiccups. Then sighted in the scope. Thing is amazingly accurate for a cheap "Frankenstein" build. Only sighted to 50yds right now (ranout of ammo. 2 of the boxes I brought were just emplty brass ). Cloverleafed 5 rounds once zero'd. |
