Just bought mine, I love that it is an 8.5" barrel, not a 7.5" like discussed earlier...Oh joy...Now, going to go buy an ADM UIC lower, and I will mod the bolt catch by making it thinner, and I will have a full ambi 300BO JAKL...next to form 1 and then get a can...Hell yey what a christmas present...I got woken up by the email they were in stock...I am going back to bed... |
It is time for the tree to be refreshed.

Merry Christmas. |

Its funny, but its like they listen to their customers, and then build products their customers ask for, and when they make it, amazingly, the product is popular and sells.. How do they keep bringing out one popular product, after another popular product...Voodoo, must be Voodoo... |

You would end up with the longer HG, plus it's a proprietary barrel. I was right on it, and probably would have got it if my cart didn't dump the required buffer assembly. I had to search that back up. |

Handguard might not be a problem as I prefer a bit more real estate out front. But proprietary you say? As in press fit or not a barrel extension like the AR? Or just standard/metric barrel threads into a trunnion block? |

Looks like I got it today, Funny- I just spoke with Customer Service and they will not adjust it, so I asked if I could place a new order with the code and cancel the one I made 3 minutes ago. They said, "No we cannot we can cancel the order and issue a refund." So... cancellation does not exist in PSA world? I'm already getting a bad feeling about this, but will post a review when I get it. OK, GTG... I don't think there are any coupons on these. |

Interesting. That doesn’t seem to be the consensus. When I asked which twist I should go with, everyone was quick to chime in with 1:7. |

That looks pretty darn good! I hope they sell a lot of these. I just looked at the FDE version and it looks like the SCAR at home has better color match than the actual SCAR! |

They probably thought you were asking about 5.56. The correct answers for 300 BLK are: 1:9 - leaning towards supers 1:8 - best compromise 1:7 - leaning towards subs 1:6 - subs ONLY, and long ones at that 1:5 - completely useless... unless you count monolithic projectiles, which nobody uses 1:8 has been proven to give the best performance over the widest variety of .300 since the Whisper days when everything was an experiment. Consider that the decision with 30-30 is 1:12 for mostly round nose (shorter) or 1:10 normal. An AKM is 1:9.5. With .308 rifles and the same weight/length question, ideal ranges from 1:12 to 1:10. These are all with similar weight/ length to .300 supers. The long heavy subs are why we use faster twists. |

Nope. 100% it was about 300 blackout. 1:7 was the most recommended for a wider array of bullets. |

Not true at all. I had a 300 BO SBR that I put about 2,200 rounds through and they were all subs. I never even bought supers for it. There’s zero reason for me to buy another 300 BO and shoot supers. If they’d fix the dismal accuracy with the Jackl, I’d buy one in a heartbeat and use it exclusively with subs and suppressed. As it stands now, B&T is getting my money. |

There’s no reason for me to pile on 300 BO and shoot supersonic ammo when I already have more than half a dozen SBR’s with dedicated suppressors in supersonic cartridges. It’d be a waste and I’m not the only one that has done it or is doing it. You keep saying “everyone ends up shooting more supers than subs” and it completely isn’t true. |

I've got a 300 that has not, and likely will not, ever have a super put through it. If I want to shoot supers, I've got 5.56 guns for that. |

As it stands now, B&T is getting my money. Has anyone done accuracy testing yet, other than Mrgunsngear? His test was pretty limited in ammo types and is obviously a sample size of one, I would love to see some more extensive accuracy testing from others with the 5.56 guns. I’m very close to buying a Jakl, but if accuracy is subpar I’ll probably just stomach the price difference and get an XCR. |
