| So I recently purchased a PSA AR-V in 9mm and was wondering if anyone had put an FRT in theirs. And if you had any issues with functionality. |

AR-V has been a fine FRT host for me. It's seen a BUNCH of different configs. The only constant was using an AZR FRT. At first, an M2-MBT with MBT trigger of course. I'm using an AZR 3P now with Griffins 60/120 selector. Both functioned great. In current SBR form it has Novox research's 4.3" SD barrel/suppressor mount combo and one of my R9's. I moved away from the maxim bearing delay for the SD barrel, not reliable. A5 RE with kynshot 5007, flat wire spring and a custom length SS 3oz spacer weight it runs great! I needed about 1" of spacer to get the bolt travel correct. I didn't want to use the short for my set up 3/4" kynshot 2.5oz spacer weight, so I made own. Kynshot's spacer weight could be used, the bolt will over travel and would end up beating the snot out of the bolt catch maybe even breaking it... The only issues I've had. Ejector needed adjustment for reliable ejection. After about 1k the extractor spring needed to be replaced. I have several K on the new spring, still working fine. Not matter what barrel I've used(I tried 4 different barrels now) it just won't feed HP's reliably. Even an enhanced feed cone didn't help! I think the mag position is just a touch too far back from the feed ramp for HP's. I tried 124gr/147gr HST, 124gr gold dots, 115gr XTP's and 147gr PPU HP'S. None would make it thru a full mag... Speaking of mags. I've used older PSA 35rd clear scorpion mags, the newer included PSA 35rd mag, magpul evo 35rd scorpion mags, CZ 20/30rd scorpion mags and manticore 32rd scorpion mags... all function fine with FMJ or even flat points, the CZ mags are a bit snug in the magwell and won't drop free. I have several thousand rounds through a ARV with a AZ regulator. I’m using a hydraulic buffer which may be different than most using the KAK buffer Runs great with a 4in barrel or the longer 7in ( I think it’s 7 maybe 8) both suppressed and unsupressed RB5015HD Kynshot is the buffer I’m using |
