This 9mm PCC checks a lot of boxes for me. Uses Scorpion mags, able to FRC easily, bolt catch on last round, and is affordable.

Does anyone have any experience with these?

Mine is sitting with my dealer. His kid is in the hospital, so I probably won't get it for a month.

My understanding is they have a solid buffer, so you need to swap the buffer out before adding a FRT.

I've got a Kak A5 length buffer I'm going to try.

I love mine.  I too went with a KAK buffer.

Mine has a Maxim Roller Delayed Buffer so no added weight in the bolt carrier group. Also 100% suppressed with a YHM R9. It chugs right along nicely.

My ARV rides with me in my truck. It has been 100% reliable with one exception. Freedom Munitions sells a hollow point target ammo that my gun doesn't like to feed. Everything else it feeds perfectly and that includes
other hollow point ammo and steel cased ammo. I have at least a couple of thousand rounds through my gun and it is perfect. My only complaint is that I wish it came with a side folding stock and a bigger bolt catch/release.

No one who has shot my ARV has complained about it any way.

Well, ordered and picked up. Out shooting it this morning, and I'm really happy with it.

I do not own an AR-V, but I have a Scorpion and two New Frontier Armory S-9 lowers (AR lower that takes Scorpion mags) and I prefer the AR Scorpion over the scorpion. Just more fun to shoot. I have a 16" and a 4" the 4" is very soft shooting and oh so fun.

Will the AR-V platform work well with Magpul 3+ mags (ones with the cut out).  I have a bunch and don't want to invest in new mags.

I found that the bottom of the feeding ramp on the reciever kept the Magpul mags from seating easily in the AR-V compared to the PSA mags. If you look at the difference in mags, there is a small shelf about an inch down from the front of the mag that is a 90* edge. The PSA mags have the same edge only it is beveled just slightly. I sanded down the sharp edge on the magpul mags till they inserted smooth without the extra force needed to seat them and now they work perfectly.

I built an AR-V from the Upper/Lower/Bolt kit PSA sells. I used a Faxon 8" barrel, Samson 12" Evolution handguard, standard LPK and an SB PDW brace. My Griffin Bushwacker fits under the Evolution nicely. I use the PSA mags and a couple Scorpion 20's, all are 100%. It's my favorite PCC. I had heard of some issues with Magpul mags with it, and PSA's mags were $10-$15 at the time, so I loaded up.

I can't find the AR-V's on the PSA website.  I think they took them down for the new model coming out.

^ now that has my attention. Curious to see how it is delayed.

Edit: sorry palmetto my AR-V already has a Maxim Roller Delayed Buffer in it. Unless they figured out a way to bypass the 30 lbs charging force needed to cycle the first round, I will stick with my setup.

Just watched the launch video and they do make mention of the harder to charge buffer system than a normal AR setup. In before the whiners say they can't charge the gun. Like the chrome bolt though and the receivers look cool.

I have the 8" AR-V that I SBR'd and I love it.

Mags are cheap, its eaten everything I've ran through it with the exception of some shitty reman ammo that I was trying to burn through, and for the most part takes all AR parts.
