A couple Ballistic Advantage black Friday builds. First is the $99 17.87" midlength SPR barrel, OEM overrun. Gonna set this one up with a 2A Armament Titanium regulated BCG. I've never done a lightweight reciprocating mass AR build. Goal will be a scoped rifle of lightest possible recoil, to easily see bullet flight. Attached File Attached File Next is an old Mega Monolithic MATEN receiver set I bought probably about 2010, and a BA 18" 6.5 Creedmoor Hanson midlength. This one I'm not sure what to expect. 6.5 and midlength just sounds snappy to me, never shot one. But then again I have no idea port size on this barrel. So I'm just gonna set it up with the included unregulated gas block and see how it feels. Hoping the port is small, and shoots soft, because I'd like to try a lightweight BCG on this gun too ... just not sure best path for getting there, if I'm gonna absolutely need an adjustable gas block or not.  Featureless Restricted state build for my son stuck in a restricted state. Radical RF-15 lower with PSA innards, BCA upper & barrel in .223 Wylde, AFS muzzle brake, Thorsden FRS-15 'not a pistol grip' fixed stock, Thorsden 'not a pistol buttstock' cheek rest, M-lok free floating handguard, .750 carbine length gas block, Holosun 512x2 reflex sight. |

  My dad hits me up and says, "what do you want for your birthday?" I hit him with a link to the ARC Fire trigger by AS Designs (the ambi, 0-90-180 if you're curious.) It was a complete joke. My dad is prior law enforcement and doesn't necessarily like FRT's or the perceived legal trouble that comes with them. But, lo and behold, my birthday comes, and there's the trigger sitting in my mailbox. This, of course, prompted a new build. -PSA Stealth Blem Lower -ZRO Delta Upper -Ballistic Advantage 14.5" Mid-Length Govt 5.56 Barrel -MI Combat HD 13.5" Handguard -CMMG Zeroed 5.56K Suppressor -SBA5 Brace while I patiently wait for the NFA to die Pretty happy with how it turned out. Unfortunately, I got it assembled only to find out that the trigger needs work before it will work properly in forced reset, so back to the vise I go. |
