I built all of these from individual parts. No kits, no preassembled uppers, all built by me using select parts. Some have custom barrel work done to them that I did myself.

Nice! The dissapator looking one, second from right, was that one of the barrel mods (cut rifle barrel)? SPRs look cool too (trying to get parts together for a MOD0 and MOD1 clone). What scope on those? Ron |

FUNction over form
Yep, the Dissy is a chopped M16A2 Colt barrel. The tan rifle has one of the Bushy 1/7 HBAR special run barrels, which I turned down to a lighter profile and threaded the muzzle. The SPR has a Leupold MR/T M3 illuminated, the civilian equivalent to what was installed on an authentic SPR. |

Ok finally figured out how to post some pics so here we go. First ever build. Recent trip to gun show yesterday landed me with a DPMS kit and a RRA stripped lower. Got home and set up shop and got started. Finished this morning after breakfast and quite pleased with outcome. After a month or so of educating myself from this forum I ventured into this task and glad I did. Talk about addicting. All of the guys on our SWAT team have purchased their "black rifles". I just felt the need to be unique and build my own. Much credit to this forum and you guys who post the walkthroughs, they were inavaluable. Hope the pics come out ok.  Here's my first half build M16A2 clone I finished a few months ago. I built the lower myself.  This is my seventh AR so far but I currently own two and a half. The lower half is my work in progress middy project. I will post pics here when I get done. Colt: NIB M16A2 upper half, stripped Match Target HBAR lower, LPK, BCG, CH & old pre-ban mag. My turn I finally got it...thanks Pete at Legal Transfers! RRA U.S. Property marked lower with 2 stage match trigger, 6 position stock RRA upper, 15" stainless barrel with A2 pinned FH Troy Industries BUIS (SKD model) HK Tactical .45, vortec FH, Surefire X200 The rifle just came today, I take her out for a test run tomorrow.   I plan on doing the 9" LaRue foregrip and M2 Aimpoint optic when finances allow. |

Well, beleive it or not, this is the first build I have ever picked out a barrel for and put it on the upper. My othre builds have just happened to be good deals at the time that I didn't want to pass up just to build the upper. Sabre Defence 1/7 Chrome-lined Mid-length barrel, RRA hand guards, stock, LPK, and lower, CMT Bolt/carrier/charging handle, ARMS #40, EOTech 512.   Total for everything seen in the pic is $3 shy of $1200. WIZZO |
