Maybe find some sort of deals on a barrel and upper on black Friday. I don't mind the SEAL Reece idea but I enjoy the look of the Mod1 with the 18 bbl, for some reason any shorter and it seems off to me, idk why. So many projects, and not enough time and money lol |

Parts so far. I ordered up a PRI tube on Friday, will be ordering a Douglas barrel and AE muzzle Brake from Neil at HCS tomorrow, and have various other parts bought on the EE coming in this week. By next weekend it should come together. In the next few weeks I'll commit to an AEM5

| I've got an extra PRI reece rail if someone needs one. There was also some talk about lapping ARMS rings. I was mounting the scope on my MOD 1 for the trip to Colorado in a couple weeks. I bought a wheeler engineering scope mounting kit. The rings lined up pretty well. I would say lapping is definitely necessary on ARMS rings. I didn't get pictures but they did have high and low spots. The kit is worth it if you ask me. It levels everything and makes sure everything is in line. I don't think I could have leveled everything without it. I'm going to lap the Larue mount I have on the MOD H when I get back just for grins. They claim it doesn't need lapping. I'm just curious..even if it doesn't need lapping I don't see what it could hurt to smooth everything up. I'll be finishing out my braceman lowers and getting them anodized as soon as I get back. I'm hoping for a couple feet of snow before we head up there in two weeks. Fingers crossed. |

-Brand new, unfired 2016 production LE6920 as the basis -B5 Gen 1 SOPMOD -SSA trigger -Mk 4 2.5-8x36 -A.R.M.S. 22H rings -Douglas 16" Mk12 barrel (5.56 chamber, 1/7 twist) from HCS -AE muzzle brake and long collar -Gen 3 PRI forearm -PRI 8.5" bottom rail -Harris 6-9" bipod A couple things left to do are an appropriate bipod mount (cheap Caldwell mount currently in use) and a swivel bipod. I also have a Colt Match HBAR with an A1 lower, but it's a preteen and I think I'm going to sell it to someone in enemy territory. But I might keep it for this build. I dunno. But it's staying on the 6920 lower for now. And I need to get an AEM5

Heads up for any of you guys needing a brake and collar. DSG Arms just got in a limited stock of the sets.
DSG Arms AE brake and collar $125 Edit: I had long collar on the mind when I typed it. I believe the M4 version is the long one. This is for the SPR version. The picture is correct and the description lists it as an SPR collar. |

I'm so used to NTCH that that I keep shouldering it and placing my head like normal and then having pull my head back to get a proper sight picture through the scope. I prefer the look of this, but looks ain't everything
This rifle is sweet and I'm really happy I sprung for the Douglas barrel from HCS over the BA. It's a shooter for sure. |
