You could use a short collar too as they have the same step inside the collar. |

First day working up a load for the 12.5” Grendel. I was particularly happy with the velocity, I thought 2300fps was going to be out of reach but CFE223 got me up to 2350fps. I only got to 2190fps with TAC. The barrel really seemed to like the cheap 123gr FMJ Hornady projectiles more than either of the 123gr BTHPs I brought out. Just barely under MOA for 10 shot groups, I think I could do better with a 2-10/12 and I put the 1-8 up in the EE to see if there are any takers. Grendel is probably my favorite caliber in that 11.5-12.5” length if you still want to reach out a bit.
