I just picked up a very odd AR15 pistol uper, don't recognize it at all. No markings, no name was wondering if anybody has any info, it has a very odd non picatinny rail attached to the top of the receiver. Ty

1990s era gun show special. Before the flat top upper became common in the civilian market, people would cut off the carry handle and affix a weaver rail to the upper in effort to get the scope lower. I dont remember if these were ever commercially available or just gunsmith specials but they quickly disappeared as soon as the flat top uppers became more common place. |
