I've run out of space for them all. Looking into a gun safe that can hold at least 20 ARs, but it would have to go in the garage... I'm not a fan of that idea. I might be better off with a few smaller gun safes in different rooms. |

I don't remember what they were exactly at the moment, but I measured the rack and went from there. This was almost too narrow. I had to beat it in with a mallet. Spent $50 bucks on it. ETA: Downside is I had to remove most optics to get them to fit in the rack. So, those are still pilferable in one of the bottom drawers. |

I'd probably go for something like that, but WA is cramming some "safe storage" BS down our throats and everything has to be locked up in a safe. They already have a similar law they passed a few years ago that they don't seem to enforce, so I don't have any idea how they plan on enforcing this new and completely redundant "safe storage" law.

   Shilen project. Been many years. Finally got a little vacation and drove past ADCO on the way there. they threaded and bead blasted the barrel for me. I picked it up on the way home. Gas block arrived 26JUL2025 and I was able to finish the assembly. LMT Defender lower with SOPMOD and 6 position RE. ERGO grip Arms Unlimited ambi selector. Shilen barrel and matched bolt in a Y/M slickside carrier. Aero Precision upper with no f/a provision. NT4 PRG NF 30mm 20MOA unimount likely to receive a SHV of some kind.  It is going to be a fun shooter. |

It is a KAC NT-4 comp PN: 93048. It is part of the indexing to the suppressor. Old technology really. My guess is that it allows some rotation of the silencer to permit it's removal due to carbon buildup. When Knight's started delivering their new PRG suppressors, it seemed like people began noticing that the fit of the 3D printed can was a bit tighter to the muzzle device than the earlier legacy M4QD Corn Cob NT-4s. My experience was no different. If there was excessive buildup on the muzzle device, I would want some means of being able to move it a little bit to help facilitate it's removal. |
