I recently upgraded to a Aimpoint 3xmag magnifier and I can't seem to get everything to fit the right way on the upper. I had to flip the 3xmag bracket around so the nuts faces the left side of the reciver and I had to mount the Aimpoint CompM4s so it overhangs off the front of the reciver but not so far forward that it's hanging over the handguard. I have a very old A.R.M.S #40 L-P for my backup iron sight and the way it mounts prevents there from being enough room to use the T2 notch in the reciver. Is there a better way to mount the red dot and the magnifier leaving enough room for the iron sights?  " /> " />

The nut on the magnifier mount should be facing the left and the QRP2 mount is hanging off the edge of the front of the reciver. The magnifier is sitting too far forward for me to get a good sight picture. There's no way to move it back any farther without losing the iron. I know there's a lot of alternative mounts. I just don't know anything about any of them. |

Arisaka mounts offer a bit of cantilever for AP, more for Eotech foot print. Midwest Industries has a cantilever spacer but I think it takes the m68 to ⅓ co-witness. So I'd try cantilever thing first and then work on the magnifier to get it just right. Here's what I did with Aimpoint PRO, SKD riser, PA 3x micro, and Arisaka mount.

I originally was planning on buying a different 3xmag that came with a Larue LT648 mount but to make that work I'd either have to spend another $200-$250 on a new mount for the CompM4S or spend $40 for the SKD 1.73" spacer. I've been waiting for SKD to re stock the 1.73" spacer for almost a month. So I bought a different magnifier that came with a Aimpoint twist mount. I actually paid less and it's brand new in the box. This is the first time I've bought really good optics and there's a lot to learn. |

They are slick  Arisaka 1.93" mount, PA 3x Magnifier, SKD 1.93" mounted Aimpoint PRO. This will do. |

New mounts or ditch the BUIS. Or maybe you can try smaller BUIS. I only have one set-up gun that has them as it is a "SHTF" weapon of sorts. I probably have a half dozen pair of MBUS 2's in a box someplace. Plenty of room with a Romeo 4T/Vortex micro 3x/MBUS Pro. Does not interfere with the charging handle at all.  |

I emailed SKD last month and asked when they were getting more 1.73" spacers and was told the beginning of April. They still don't have them. So it's looking like I'm going to have to loose the BUIS until I can buy a spacer. |
