Hello all, This is my first sling that I got of EE here and where I have my sling points, it seems too large (on the tightest position). So, I decided to cut it, hopefully I didn't ruin something I am not realizing, however how I have it now feels the most comfortable. How does it look? In the photo, it is adjusted to the tightest position. It loosens up quite a bit if I pull the adjuster out. I ended up cutting quite a bit out and removing two of the keepers. I am quite average I would say (5'11" 180lbs), has anyone else had to cut their slings down a bit?

So much of this is just personal preference. But yes, The Vickers sling gives you a bit more strap than you need. Which is a good thing.... I wouldn't do any cutting at all until you are very sure how you want it. Give it a couple months... |
And then, he arrives at the last item on his bucket list...

I was sick of putting it on and having a foot of fabric flapping around. Good to know they come a bit large though. At first I thought maybe they came in different lengths however I am not seeing that option. |

I had a padded Vtac sling. Used it in a class and the pad kept me from getting into some positions that were being taught. The pad prevented me from adjusting the sling enough . I can't remember what positions to long ago. I have non-padded slings now. The AR isn't that heavy anyway. |
