| I ordered it bundled with the tiger stripe book. Looking forward to reading it. As much as I like Stevens/Ezell's The Black Rifle I don't love the way it is laid out and am looking forward to more and better photos in this book. Hoping for more in depth photos of each variant. |

The Black Rifle isn’t perfect but we owe the author a great deal of gratitude. It gave the early members of this forum a great start in the age before digital cameras and mass digital communication There are mistakes that we have since discovered but overall, still one of the best resources out there |

I appreciate all the support on the project! With the money spent on pictures, negatives and paper that is included in the book, i could have bought an M16 lol As far as the cover, it was designed by Ian and James with their designer. I had a few minor changes made to it but was hard to be able to design a cover that incorporates everything in the book. And yes, Vietnam was communist at the time.... That is just the slip cover but the book cover has the dragon and dome separate. I wanted more focus on the 602 on the cover. |

You're tripping bro, the cover and slipcase art is amazing and seals the deal, you couldn't possibly visualize "From Hartford to Vietnam" better than that. It obviously incorporates Vietnamese/SE Asian inspired artwork and colors as well as the famous domed Colt plant in Hartford, its brilliant. Tbh I wish I had a bit more disposable income, I got both of the standard versions of the Tiger Stripe and FHTV books and I wish I got the slipcase version for the Colt book alone. If it ever became a stand-alone add-on I would consider getting it later possibly. |

Bro the artwork is killer, I totally get focusing on a rifle (like the Vickers books) but the colors and design really pop on your cover and slipcase design and really set it apart from anything else, I think it would even make people not interested in guns per-se just pick it up to look at it just for that alone, which I think is a great thing. It was a great call whoever did it. |
