I recently purchased a Streamlight HP-X Pro (105K candela model). No issues with it but I am not a fan of the jack cap as I am not partial to tape switches and the manual activation button is pretty small. I am looking for a clicky or momentary tailcap. I tried emailing Streamlight if they offered anything but they just replied with a "no". Does anyone know if anyone offers any solutions? I tried googling it but I get stuff ranging from the HLX tailcaps should work to no, the threads are different. I was toying with the idea of trying the arisaka adapter but between that and an additional clicky tailcap, I'd be in for the same amount of money as as used surefire (probably what I should have gone with in the first place!). |

If it uses the same tailcap as the HL-X Pro (and it looks like it does), Streamlight does make a clicky tailcap that will fit the HP-X Pro (though not specifically made for the HP-X Pro). I know, because I bought a couple when I was using the HL-X Pro. Unfortunately, I sold them over a year ago and don't remember where I purchased them from. However, IIRC, it was from their Protac Rail Mount HL-X (careful, there are two versions and the smaller one which won't fit is the most commonly advertised). I remember them having a red button instead of the usual black. HTH... |

I know I’ve swapped the tail cap from one of my HL-Xs with an HL-X Pro that has their new “jack-cap” tailcap. I honestly wish you could buy the newer lights without the tape switch/new tail cap as I generally just use the tailcap button. |

Just spoke to SL CS and they took a while to look into it before calling me back with confirmation that they don’t sell the HL-x legacy tailcap by itself, and didn’t know why that decision was made, just that it was made fairly high up and no one he spoke to could tell him what the reasoning was. I would hope that if enough people express interest in it that they would change that decision. |

Super fast shipping. I can recommend them without issue. Unfortunately, the tailcap didn't work. It seemed a little small. It wouldn't screw onto the body. |
