Help! I'm mostly a pistol guy but I came across a great deal with a small problem. A private sale local to me selling an almost brand new S&W MP15. It's got a Vortex Strike Eagle LPVO and some back up sights. Why is there no space for me to grab the charging handle? I'm not sure what brand the mount is. It's a quick release with the knobs on the left side. |

Thanks. I will try to get another look at it again soon. I’m told that a local gun store installed and bore sighted it in. I would like to think that it was installed as far forward as it can go. Doesn’t seem to me to have much more forward clearance. I don’t know why the owner didn’t say anything about before me.   Is there a better mount I should consider? I plan on using it for some Tactical Games competitions and skirmishes this year and next. Thanks in advance!! |

Move the mount forward a slot or two. If necessary for eye relief loosen the caps, move scope forward keeping a smidge of clearance between turret housing and front ring, ballpark level against the front sight ears, tighten the caps. Do not claw the charging handle for regular use. Rack it with the left hand on the left side - thumb on rear, index finger pinches the latch open. |

Get a larger CH if you need more to grab on to. |
