Need a higher acog mount

I just bought my first ACOG, its the TA-33 and find that the factory mount sits a bit low. I think it is absolute co-witness. Who makes a mount that can raise the height of the ACOG? Don't want it sitting too high but just a bit higher than what it came with.

Scalarworks makes a 1.75" mount. I think you could source a KRAM spacer to get that, too.

The Scalarworks 1.75" has been OOS for some time. Keep yer eyes peeled.

ETA: Unity Tactical makes the FAST optic riser, but it's a less elegant solution.

You can cut down a Kram spacer and they work perfectly for this. I use the 5.5 mm which gives me a 1.54” optical centerline with the q-loc mount, on a TA33.

I’m not sure if the scalarworks are compatible with mini acog mounting bases.

The Midwest industries mini acog mount was what I had my TA-33s on. I liked it a lot

ADM AD-B5 is good option.
I bought this mount for the exact same reasons you have.
Gives the optic a 1.8 centerline.
I sold off my TA33 but still have the mount.
It’ll go on the EE soon.

I was told Scalarworks is in the process of updating their ACOG mounts. Said it would be a few months and that was a few months ago. Here's to hoping it'll be out soon and good

Midwest industries mount for compact acogs is probably what you want and actually made for the size of the ta33 base.

It’s lower 1/3rd roughly 1.65.

The factory mount is like 1.5

American Defense also has what you want but their model numbers get confusing

The standard mount puts it at 2.7" over bore (basically cowitness w/irons which is 2.6")
