I am new and this will be my first time posting pictures into a thread so I hope this works.
Anyway, me and my wife went to the range yesterday and it was her first time shooting my AR. We shot pistols yesterday too, but she had done that with me before, but didn't shoot well yesterday. On the way back from the range, she actually wanted to go to the gun store to look at guns. I think we found her a new pistol. Gotta love it! I am a lucky man! |

Get off the internet, right now, and begin working on having children with that woman. Have as many as you can afford, teach them about the free market, and gun rights.

| Women can be notorious for being excellent shots..I first took my at that time wife shooting for her first time. She shot a Ruger mk2 pistol. Her first 10 shots at 7 yards were bullseyes...she set the gun down and said "What is so hard about shooting"? She never went again...LMAO |
| My youngest daugheter who is now a mother and with a famly of her own used to go shooting with me when she was a pre teen. She knows I like shooting, but doesn't say much about it one way or the other. The other day she was at our house with my 2 year old grandson. While she was playng with him she surprised the heck out of me when she said " Papa will take you shooting some day." I hope hat she remembers ths in a few years when he is old enough to go out to the range. Heck, she can go along with us and I bet she would enjoy it like she used to do. She was a pretty good shot. You never know about women. |

No you can't move in front of the line. You can move the targets closer. We were shooting closer at first and she is the one that wanted to move it back. Her first shot hit the top of the berm though What impressed me what what she did with the AR. That first group was her first 5 shots with a rifle, EVER! After the 100 we went to the 200 and went prone. She was lighting the center mass steel up!

| Ive heard from multiple sources that women are typically better novice/in general shots then men (don't remember which). It had something to do with the way they see things, much like women can see and match colors better then men, and men have a better sense of space, and depth. Always nice to see the ladies out shooting. |

Always nice to see the ladies out shooting. I always thought it's because they don't have any bad habits to work through. If she wants the PPK, than she should go with that. It will be fine, and because she likes the looks she will get over any possable downsides to it. Just like we do with are AR's. |

Just usually more enjoyable for shooters when they are hitting the targets.

When I lost my father a couple of years ago I inherited half of his guns. One is an old Colt Super 38 that had been converted to shoot .38 specials. Those old wad guns are still floating around. The recoil spring is pretty light and the recoil itself is very mild. It is very accurate. It shoots .38 special full wadcutters. Muzzle flip is very little more than my Ruger MkII .22 pistols. There is also a serious cool factor when other people start looking at the brass being ejected from the full size 1911 pistol. Jim |

I had a M&P also, HAD . I let the wife shoot it ............It's hers now. But I did get a lower. My wife liked the PK380 also, she had problems racking the slide on most.
You better start reading up on building one. Also how do you like that burris ? |

Your wife surprized me too. Thanks letting us know how good she is with that rifle.
However, the targets you show could have been shot by anyone. So, in the future I suggest that you only post images of her shooting so we know for real that she was the shooter. |
| Its good to see the wife has interest and knows how to operate the weapons now you are truly a team.My wife knows how to operate the ARs and will shoot them but she likeshandguns the best.Just bought her a SIG226 9mm.She likes 1911s but likes how the SIG takes down easier.Shes now more interested in rifles now that she knows she can get an AR in 9mm. |

Glad to see she's on board cause I have friends who have to hide most of their purchases or lie about how much things really cost to their wives. Let her know the Hive gives her a big two thumbs up and from the little I've seen, she a hell of a shot.. My wife and daughters all love to shoot cause of how passionate I am about it..It was a bonding thing for the wife and I cause we made a committment to support each others hobbies..Lucky for me that my wife's hobbies are traveling and sports events...She loves going to pro football and pro basketball games....Damn I feel blessed just typing that ...
OP: I see that you're shooting at ATTAC and just wanted to give you a heads up that you should come check out the FDCC 2-gun matches that moved down there. It's held the last Sunday's of every month.. |

My wife is an excellent shot with a handgun. She has a Ruger Single Six, Stoeger Cougar (9 mm) and a Sig Mosquito. She does not like to shoot rifles because she Is left-eye dominant and shoots left handed. I want her to shoot my PS-90 that I purchased in the spring and see how she likes that.
My wife likes to go the range, but finds that if she goes by herself a pack forms around her..... She gets a lot of help from men who don't shoot as well or are as familiar with firearms. But it is not limited to the less experienced. A few years ago, I was joining her in the pistol shed from the rifle range where the range master was "helping her" and was demonstrating his 1911 when he had an accidental discharge of his 1911 not the other one as far as we could tell. He was a little embarrassed but we were polite and just moved on. To the OP - beautiful wife and great shooter..... To everyone else - give women at the range some space.....if they need help they will ask..... |
