| Posting this in AR forum because didnt get any replies in AK. But... I went to zero my RPK with my 552 at my house, just with a laser sight tool at 100 yards which is the distance from my house to my barn. I maxed out the elevation all the way and it just barely made zero without forcing it further. Is it the side mount that is canted? Do I have a bad optic? is this a common issue with the AK platform? |

Check your scope mount rail on the rifle, to make sure it was installed parallel to bore line, Then check mount for same as well. Hence you did not state who built the RPK, but could be problems with trunnion not welded in square to receiver line on stamped metal receiver, again scope mount rail not tram with bore line, could be a problem with scope mount itself, or could be problem with scope. Next, are we talking side rail type mount point on rig , gas tube type mount, or top cover type scope mount. Also, what scope if it has it own mount would help if you can list it as well. |
