Here is my Latest..... A MI Forged Receiver....built with pretty muck all parts from MI... Except I used a KNS lower parts kit....being the take down pins and detentes...  And Now Ladies and Gentlemen.....My MI Hybrid..... A billet MI (Minute Man) Upper....and my Built Forged Lower.... Target On.... SASS....   |
The MI-SS G2 is hands down my favorite handguard. I prefer it over all the new keymod/Mlok ones, because it comes with a QD sling socket rail section, a sling stud, and a couple more plain rail sections right in the box. I am picky on where I like my front sling swivel (for sling-supported shooting). Other handguards either have built-in sling sockets that aren't where I want them, or require you to buy the socket separately. Between the stud and rail section, I can mount any kind of bipod. I mount all other accessories besides the sling and bipod to the top rail, which Keymod/Mlok handguards have too, so there is no advantage there. I am glad they are still making the SS G2, and hope they continue to. I have them on 3 different rifles, and will almost certainly be putting them on more in the future. I have used these at cross-country Run 'n Gun events like the Pawnee Run 'n Gun, and they have always held up great even under rough treatment. They get two thumbs up from me.

I like the way you have that built up. What lower are you using, and what made you go the route you did? MI is the #1 item I recommend to most fellow cops when they ask me about rails. There is a place for everything, but for cops who are married with kids, they don't need to drop $400 on just a rail. The MI series knocks it out of the park for quality items at an affordable price. I have NEVER had a cop be disappointed in a MI purchase. |

As for my Design or configuration....it was an Article in Guns and Ammo on the AR-10 SUPER SASS...(ArmaLite)....The one in the Article was a 16" barrel version....so I built mine to be what I wanted... Hence my name....SASS... Target On... |
