Hey all, I looked and looked through the forums to find the exact answer to my query but cannot. Arizona Regulator Thread FRT Troubleshooting Sell all my ArcFire and buy Rarebreed Alas I cannot find a direct answer. I have tried the Dairyland Defense, the Rarebreed L3, and the Arizona Regulator to get my (Brownells BRN-4) M27 IAR clone to work. The Dairyland worked to a degree with a borrowed JP Enterprises SCS H3. The Rarebreed(buddy’s lower) worked very well with a VLTOR enhanced buffer system(H2). And the AZR functioned well in Semi with a Carbine Buffer(would do 2-3rd burst and need a reset), but with my Giessele H3/Super42 spring it would go Safe/FRT/FRT. I am unsure how to even go about trying to rectify the Safe/FRT/FRT with an H3. I can imagine going with a specialty buffer such as the VLTOR or JPE SCS may be able to rectify this but I am at the point of just wondering if I should sell my FRTs and buy the RareBreed MR3. Any ideas on how to fix the other FRTs to avoid giving money to RareGreed? -Jono |

Just because I’ve seen it mentioned in some of the other threads: 1) I installed the trigger spring correctly(and checked) 2) I installed the disconnector spring correctly and checked(thicker part down) 3) I used only provided parts from the package(entire FCG) 4) installed hammer spring correctly as well. |

| Odd that your buffer is having an impact in Semi. That doesn't really make sense to me. My ARC Fire v2 had issues with the bursts/sputtering in FRT mode, but that seems to have been solved with a full removal and reinstall, and running it on a different gas setting. |

So I got word back from J.D. at Arizona Regulator. “We don’t do anything HK man” So. :/ I mean it’s a very well-built device and it may find a home on another DI build. But unless anyone has experience with a different system that functions well in the 416 platform, I may just have to go with the RareBreed HK-specific unit. |

I thought that guy on YouTube that wears the mask and a safety vest with no shirt on tested the Arc fire successfully in an HK 416. Anyway, welcome. I haven't found many of these "drop-in". If I wasn't able to walk out my back door to test fire stuff, I wouldn't bother with the FRT realm. So many variables, it would really piss me off to drive somewhere, get set up, fire it only to have to go back to the drawing board. Lots more threads to look through to troubleshoot. There are super safety and FRT subreddits too that are easier to search with key words. |

I've had mixed success with both the Cornfire MARC and the AS Designs ARC Fire V2. MR556A4 Upper on PSA lower with Cornfire MARC  Cornfire Arsenal MARC Fun MR556A4 complete rifle with as Designs ARC Fire V2  HK MR556A4 w/AS Designs ARC Fire V2 Either should work fine in a M27 Clone. Cornfire is defunct, but Copperhead Safety seems to be selling both the Original MARC as well as an Ambi model. |

RB says their HK specific model does not work with the Brownells BCG….so maybe you need to post a pic of what your BCG looks like. Sounds like the RB doesn’t work with actual HK F/A 416 BCG either. So they designed it around whatever HK did for the MR series is my guess. I don’t have an HK416 anymore to look at, main distinction was that it was a piston design (G36 basically) along with a spring loaded firing pin. I don’t believe the trigger components differ any though in how they interacted with the carrier. Should be able to get some of the better FRT designs to work I would think. Don’t bother with RB though as theirs isn’t going to work anyhow it seems, makes the moral choice easier for you… |

I may still talk to their customer support because the pictures of the FCG show “HK416” on the side of the hammer along with MR556 and something else, probably MR223. I do have the Brownells BRN-4 BCG which has the same relief cut for MR556 barrel extensions- but does NOT have the firing pin safety, and does have the FA profile at the back of the bolt. So if I owned a Machinegun I could just change the buffer system and be good to go, but since it’s FA cut and doesn’t require HK-specific hammers(or Giessele or MilSpec) to defeat the firing pin safety- it’s actually in a weird gray area. |
