After I left I worked for a contractor still on the ships and I would see what appeared to be A4 rifles that looked like they just came our of a crate from FN or Colt pretty much most of the time. |

I just got a great deal on a used KAC M5ras last weekend and have a vertical grip on the way and just need to source a bayonet and sling and I'll be gtg. |

I have no issues hitting steel at 200yds with it as to the ACOG, my A4 wears a used TA31F that I got in a trade along with the M5 RAS and 3k rounds of .22LR. I got all of that for a M1A that I didn't shoot anymore. That ACOG gets way more use than the M1A ever did |

A few more parts & accessories showed up today for build number # 4...

Finally done, I know the scope isn't right but it really functions well for what it is.... The m5Ras is pretty beat up lol, not that I didn't know that when I bought it, just anodizing scratches..... BCM upper/ BCG Windham Weaponry Barrel PSA lower and LPK BCM PNT Trigger Turner Saddlery Biothain 1907 sling Colt Carry handle scope is a leupold vx3i 1x5 and in ADM Scout mount. |

Perhaps the only thing not to like about the BFG A4 setup is the use of the forward fixed-loop rail mount, which sticks out from the weapon just far enough to be more of an annoyance than a true problem - even then, it can easily be remedied by using either a wire-loop front sight base mount, or a standard A2 fsb side-sling mount instead. Really - No matter how you look at it - it's simply an outstanding sling to use with most any AR-platform weapon. I wish it had been available for use when I was growing up... FlDiveCop71

Finally got something going here, bought a clone upper off the EE. For now it's on my DPMS A2 and I'm looking for an A2 stock but it'll do.

No pics yet, but I'm finally putting together the A4 that I should have done last year. Aero lower, traded off my Magpul stock for an A2. P&S M5 RAS from Numrich. Ordered a BCM 20" upper w/BCG yesterday. Mil bro hooking me up with a Matech BUIS. Will be getting an ACOG next month for it. Will have to decide between the Eagle or BFG doing for it. |
