I have 4 20" barrel rifles (XM16E1, M16, M16A2, M16A4). I love the look of a 12" bloop tube underslung on those lengthy muskets. I have grenade launchers (airsoft XM148, with an ORIGINAL XM handguard, 2 airsoft M203s). For with the M16A4, I am leaning towards an Army A4, rare as they were. Opinions: go with M203 on A4 (need a leaf sight on rail grabber) or say screw it and stick a toadsticker on the A4? If toadsticker, what brand should I look for and where? |

You’ll want a m7, or m9 if you’re army. Probably the m9 is the best as it was what they issues. For marines it would be m7, m9 or okc3s. Probably again m9 for the a4 for period correct. M7 and okc3s are more of a fighting knife that acts as both a bayonet but also a viable knife fighting weapon. The m9 has a lot of features that makes it more of a utility knife than a fighting one. My favorite though are the m9s and m7s. Ontario for the m9 and okc3s. Imperial is for the m7 but they have several manufacturers for this. The m7 is usually surplus but the sheath is sometimes repo so you have to verify before buying it is a full usgi settings. Ontario okc3s is made to exact marines spec because they’re worried people will break it at work and worried about getting into trouble they want to sell it exactly the same so it’ll work as a bayonet. So basically you break it opening something then go to the mcx buy one and be like oh look I just took it home to sharpen wink wink. I would get all three if you can. But I personally like to e m9 and okc3s ones. Don’t buy the s&w one as the tang on it is not complete. It’s just a little knub that slides into a handle. That’s a huge deal as both your personal protection as it can snap and break if you decide to use it causing a fun time to something potentially deadly. |
