So, I finally bit the bullet and decided to start an AR-10 build by nabbing a Criterion Hybrid 16" chrome lined in .308. I do want to keep the build lightweight otherwise, and I'm thinking to grab the V-Seven 2099 Ultra-Light handguard in 15": https://www.vsevenweaponsystems.com/upper-parts/2099-ultra-light-m-lok-handguard-308dpms-sr25 Should be about 11.4 ounces with mounting hardware. Anybody have experience with one? I do want a balance of light weight and reasonable durability, so I'm eschewing the thinner carbon fiber options despite my preference for them. |

I have all V7 Hyper Light handguards - AR15 & AR308 I have the 308 Hyper Light 13.5” on my 16” - it comes in at 8.4oz with everything. Joel’s products are the best on the market. I built my 308 minus optics to 6.45 lbs. this would not have been possible without V7’s parts. Very highly recommended and very high quality parts. I have the Titanium BCG, rec extension, castle nuts, everything too. |
