| I had two Leupold CQ/T 1-3 optics with the quick release AMRS mounts and wanted to get your opinions on this old optic ? Is it still relevant? Why didn’t these make it big ? They are definitely Over Built and extremely rugged. |
| Have a 1st generation mounted on a Wilson Combat AR.....when I packed it around on a regular basis would make 300yd +/- shots w/ it no problem.IIRC you could use the circle for a hold over refrence at certain yardage but haven't used that rig for a while and don't remember the particulars |

I have two, one of each reticle. I have the LaRue QD mount on both. Love them and how the battery is a AA battery in a cassette. They still command a high price. The battery cassette is hard to find (I have one spare) and I saw one on ebay for $250.00. I'd like to have another spare but I would not pay that price if I was rich! There have been Chinese copies, so if the price for one in excellent condition is too good to believe... beware!! I also recently found two Leupold Carbine Optic (LCO) sights... pricey for a retired civil servant but I could not pass on them! They are VERY RARELY seen for sale... except for the Chinese knock offs! |

On another note... I use energizer Lithium exclusive. My old reliable I used to use for decades was Duracell, it was use only batteries as they never leaked. NOW not so much... I have seen Duracell batteries leak in the sealed retail package in stores! |

The world wasn’t ready for LPVO’s. It still has a reputation of being big and heavy, when it’s still lighter and smaller than 99% of anything on the market. It gets way more hate than it ever deserved, but wasn’t great though. I think a modernized version would be awesome, but they’d probably just make a VCOG copy which defeats the entire purpose. It was handy and capable enough for what anyone expected a carbine to do back then. Before everyone started expecting military rifles to somehow need 800 yard BDC with M855 or M193. I like mine.
