Kind of figured I was done building but the Aero OD Green stuff just looks pretty damn good to me. So... I caved and put together another M5 using a Ballistic Advantage 18" BBSS fluted barrel. I'm no BA fan BUT the non-.223 barrels have served me well and this one was on sale at BKing so I said what the hell. First time using Aero's Atlas series rail, damn thing is like a feather. I like my gas blocks expose so I went with the 12.7" (I think that's what is is). Used some MagPul Foliage stuff I already had along with a Velocity 3-lb. trigger. It's topped off with a Gen 1 Vortex Viper PST in an ADM mount. I might waste some more money and get the green anodized mount ADM sells. All I need now is an adjustable gas block and I'll be ready to try it out. Hope it shoots as good as it looks...    |

The rifle is a heavy bastard so it changes the point of balance to below the tripod to make it more (perceived) stable since the rifle is acting like a pendulum under the bipod. I dont have a lot of trigger time behind it yet, but for a heavy rifle (I want to say mine is 10-14# with the hbar upper and 5-25x scope) it’s pretty comfortable and has no issues like a regular bipod would try to flop over. Only real complaint is that I have to extend the legs when shooting from a flat surface but that’s minor. I could spend $500 on a Phoenix or similar bipod, but I took a chance on the UTG overbore and you could probably kill someone with it. For the $100 it’s incredibly well built. No slop or loose parts anywhere. |

I actually couldn't get it working with the brake. To the point that the detent came out and i just gave up lol. It's ejecting at 4 O'Clock with the surefire. I plan to move it to a PSR 7 to retain the OTB, which should require much more gas to cycle with because it's flow through vs the old surefire. So maybe that will give me the range needed? That or I had the carrier speed moving way to fast. The concept I love though and it clearly works for Seekins considering the SP10M. |

Recently purchased. Back in the ‘10 game. I know this is one of Arfcom’s love-to-hate brands but my 3 L-dubs have been nothing but accurate and reliable. Have a different 3-18 optic on order for it but probably nothing else to change on it. Attached File |

Attached File How it is currently configured. FCD muzzle device Keymo compatibility. Has a new Split Fix strap on the brace, Magpul BUIS and handguard covers, Eotech. First range day today. Took my DeadAir Nomad 30, Primal and Sandman to test. Got there and realized the Sandman had a 5.56 end cap and I didn’t have the tool so it didn’t get tested on this. Attached File It did not like Winchester white box M80 7.62x51 very much at all. Groups were all over the place and had several cycling issues no matter the gas settings or suppressed vs unsupressed. May need more break in time or that may just be something I don’t use in it. The other M80 stuff I had a box of (Aguila) was flawless. It was also flawless with the Federal Fusion 150gr which I used to finish sighting it in. Attached File Accuracy was just fine for what I was doing. I was shooting off a bag at 50 yards but wasn’t focused on accuracy at all. I was messing with the gas settings, trying a variety of mags and firing at faster rates mostly to test reliability out. Attached File Attached File Nomad 30 was first. Could fire without ear pro just fine. Probably wouldn’t feel the same indoors. This project has been in various stages since receiving the upper and lower set on Christmas eve of 2019. The handguard, buffer tube, castle nut and QD sling hardware, 2H buffer and spring, plus the muzzle brake and shims arrived sometime in August of 2022. Yesterday, while off work getting some much needed rest and recuperation, the barrel, gas block and tube, pins and BCG arrived which means the gun can be assembled. I had purchased a couple of the F/A 308 BCGs from them knowing I might employ the spare unit on my SR-25 Lunchbox gun. This was in 2019 as I'd also picked up one of the South American contract MWS uppers that year. Why LMT did that machining procedure, I am not sure. The reason I had decided to buy an extra BCG was due to the possibility of a temporary configuration for my SR-25 but that never came to fruition. I figured a visual comparison of both a KAC sandcutter & dual ejector bolt from what I assume is recent production to a 5 year old LMT unit was something I should do simply out of curiosity. |

Here’s my MP-10. It shoots well with heavier bullets when I work up a load. Most accurate so far is 168 gr A-Max on top of 40grs CFE 223 at 2.810” COAL. It will be my hogger.   I’m going to put a ZULU infrared optic on it. It’s not high end but the reviews are great. ETA: I’ll try and get a 20 round group soon which I think will tell much more about this 1/10 5R button rifled mass-produced barrel. |
A few that are functional. Four of them are C&R. And one that would not fit into the rack. It is that a Mariner's Rifle and was made by AI for testing by the Dutch marines. This one is a kit built semi auto but can become FA if a C&R lower is swapped from the rack above.  |

Is that a 18 inch barrel? You need a thermal if you’re going after hogs. I put together a hog AR10. 16 inch faxxon match barrel, Hogster vibe 35, and a Sandman -S can for it. Now to figure out where to go that won’t cost me a kidney. 168 A Max shoots real good for me. |

Only took 18 years but I finally joined the club PSA Sabre lower with regular psa10 upper. Didn't like the rail, so I rebarreled it with a Midwest industries rail. Be warned, they have someone standing on a breaker bar to tighten the barrel nut down with no antisieze. Thought I was going to break something to loosen it. Attached File This is a four shot group with irons at 100 Attached File this is a ten shot group at 100 with the 2.5x optic. I'd like to work up a load for this rifle and throw on at least a 12x optic and see what I can do with it. Attached File |
