Well, I finally got an adjustable gas block (superlative) onto my brother’s rifle, so I think it’s done. I’ll be able to shoot for groups and tune the gas block in spring. Zeroing in subzero temps kinda sucks. It'll probably live as a target rifle as it's a heavy SOB though.

| Yes Wilson barrel. Hornady factory 143 ELDX is shooting 2451fps at 45 degrees out into about 1.5moa with 80 rounds on the barrel. Hornady 129 Interlock Whitetail ammo is doing 2532 FPS at about the same 1.5 moa. This is off a Harris bipod and no rear bag. It's not terrible but not great either. Both are shooting slightly under or around 1 moa for 4 of the 5 rounds and 1 round opening it up. I don't hand load and will try some other ammo and I hope it settles down to MOA or better but I'm not sure. |

I'll let you know when my next batch of ammo arrives. I swapped it a couple weeks ago from a 16" BA barrel. It's over half a pound lighter, and where a lot of the removed weight is from the very front, it seems like much more has been lost. I will have over a dozen various loads to try from Wolf steel cased up to Federal Gold Medal Match and everything in between. |

 DDm5V3. I have a hate/hate relationship with AR-10s. I have owned 4 with issues from: parts breakage, reliability issues, and inexplicable loss of accuracy. A friend of mine owns one of these as his only rifle and uses it for everything. After quite a bit of time on that gun, I decided to pick one of these up. For the price (2k if you look) I think it stacks up with any competitor, regardless of price. 300 trouble free round so far, excellent accuracy, incredibly consistent function. |
