3 months after I started on my lil project and all Ive done since is added Magpul XTM rail cover's 
All I want to add are a brake for suppressor attachment at a later date ( leaning towards a op's inc brake ) a bipod mount ( got a homeless harris bipod ) but most especially I need to figure out what brand scope and magnification I want on this stick! Vortex or leupold 1-4x24 PST / 1.5-5x20 M2 or go with something a lil stronger like a 2.5-8 scope arrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh ( bangs head on desk ) |

I find it interesting that quite a few SPRs on this forum were built with the Magpul UBR stock. I've got one on my carbine, but never even thought about using one on my SPR build.
Any SPR+UBR owners care to comment on their stock choice? |

Yeah, I like the stock it works great for consistent cheek weld and also balances a longer rifle, I have had CTRs, SOPMODs, Emods, UBRs and I like the UBR the most. BCM Mk 12

Here's my SPR-ish rifle. I built it for 3-gun so it normally wears a 1-4x scope, but here it is reconfigured with a Bushnell 3200 10x for a Prairie Dog hunt this week. The upper receiver has kind of a purple tint but not nearly as bad as this pic makes it look::

This is the one I was talking about. It's from PRI not ARMS but looks similar to the original. I think the one jdhill used looks good, I may use the mid length one myself. I've never seen that one used before and just wanted to know why. |

The PRS has been good to me so far. I put the cheek riser up a bit for the pics, but it has been down for dry fire and range time. I haven't had a problem using it with the irons. It also really balances my rifle out, with CG being close to the middle of the magwell IIRC. When I received my upper, my first thought was "this thing is way too heavy to balance." When my PRS showed up that thought changed to "this is going to be too heavy on the back." It seems that I was wrong both times. Prometheus |

PrometheusSmith, I'm glad to see you're using the extra black oxide screws we include with the Cerakoted selectors
I prefer the LMP SOPMOD stock for my SPRs, it's much lighter. As the SOPMOD stock is LOP adjustable, the only thing it's lacking which the PRS stock offers is the cheek piece. Meanwhile, the SOPMOD is compact when collapsed and is more comfortable

Quite a few years in the making on my budget... Especially since I wasn't going to compromise on anything I wanted for the rifle. Everything on it is my personal top choice for what I want to do. It would take too long to try to list everything that's in this gun, as the only original parts are the upper/lower/barrel.  |
