A 2-10 is a MPVO, and the bias was a little heavy at times. I think all new shooters should watch D34’s video in fact. The amount of failed competition focused gear alone is enough to hurt almost everyone’s feelings. |

To be fair to the TFB guys their video is titled "LPVO vs. Red Dot: The Results Surprised Us". Is that important? Well, the thread title is different: "LPVO vs Red Dot, which is faster, some testing done to find out". I mention this because by somewhere between 3:30 and 4:30 we've learned two things. First, the two TFB shooters admit they prefer LPVOs. I'm not going to waste bandwidth explaining how this compromises a study design. Second, they admit the RDS is faster and "probably" better for the homeowner. Huh??? Even so, and taken on its own terms, the vid was worth watching. The Deltathirtyfour vid is better. |

I guess it'll take some hands on to really know. I've been running eotech xps2-0 for 10+ years, and absolutely love it. I can also say it works well in a real-world setting and is accurate and quick. I also love the minimal parallax (I doubt it's actually zero) so I can be in a less than ideal position and be able to just put the dot on the target. That being said, the idea of a decent 1-4 is really alluring and one that I'm considering when I finish building a suppressed 11.5. looking at Leopold mk4hd 1-4.5, one of the vortex offerings and the trijicon credo 1-4. Something good for cqb and engagements at within 150 yards (give or take.) I'm interested in those that have experience running something like an eotech and also a medium tier 1-4. |
