| I've got an old keymod slim rail. Trying to remove a sling stud for a direct mount bipod. The stud and fitting just spin, won't come apart. I've tried to grip the insert but no joy. I tried to remove the handguard but the stud won't clear the gas block. I'm about to get out the Dremel and go to town! Any suggestion would be appreciated. |
Photo would help, but is something like this will loctite in play. Then may need to remove the forearm from the upper to back up the nut from the other side through the tube, or may be simpler to break out the dremil to remove the old post instead. |

| I have this one - should be a small c-clip holding it in place. If that is what you have - use a small Allen wrench or screwdriver to hold it while popping out the c-clip. |
