I have been told that he was asked to be a part of the investigation but refused because he didn’t want to move the family again (he had been stationed in College Station, Chicago, and then in CA). When he refused, that is when he left the FBI. Have always wondered how true the story is but we’ll never know I guess… that is unless the gov’t could ever process the FOIA I put in in 2022, requesting his file. |
