Enjoying my jakl, especially suppressed. One thought I had when playing around with the gas settings: is there an ideal ejection pattern that tells you it’s a sweet spot? I was shooting thinking I should be looking for that 3:00 to 4:30 AR15 pattern, but then I remembered this isn’t really an AR15. Thoughts? |

The 3 o'clock general rule of thumb probably still applies to Jakl. But also are the casings landing at your feet or getting thrown 10yds? What the recoil impulse, bcg velocity feel like? Does it still strip rounds easily from a fully loaded mag and lock back on empty with multiple brands of magazines? Are you getting a ton of gas to the face shooting suppressd, etc. There's a lot of signs on how a rifle is cycling besides ejection pattern. The Jakl I owned was actually on the under gassed side. Only cycled cheap steel case wide open and didn't even need the suppressors plug with a can on it. |
