I have some more pictures of cute girls with carbines that I took.  I'll have to find them.  It's amazing how much abuse a carbine or M16 gets over there.  Maybe I'll start a new thread of cute Israeli girls and their guns.

Just got my IDF handguard bands in from Zahal.org and man are those things a PITA to put on my handguards.  I got them on, but it was after a good 10 minute fight.  Did I just have extra tight bands or are they supposed to be like that?

The girls don't have carbines but the guards do.  From left to right the girls are: American, Israeli, American, Iranian.

once again proof to the world that persian girls are hot.

I really like that!!!!!!!!!

I like the 6 pos stock better than the regular CAR. It's more comfortable.  A2 handle with m4 handguards and a LW barrel.  That's sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

The lightweight  (top) is my daily KISS gun. The 2nd one I either call  "money pit" or "sho-gun". The 3rd M4 actually has OD furniture. 4th is a GI A2.

I remember a story in SOF magazine years ago covering some IDF reserve state police unit.

At that time, many of the officers in this unit carried M1 carbines, and eventually even replaced the wood stocks with Choate sidefolders.

I wonder who is using those carbines now, as I would imagine that those cops would have gone to either M16s or perhaps that Israeli bullpup M1 carbine conversion, or perhaps they still use them, Choate stocks and all.

Confirmed - I saw reserve officers with carbines so equiped in Herzlia near Tel Aviv.  they were in civilian clothes,

Here's a picture of my first build. I built it on a Del-ton M4 kit with an Essential Arms lower, A1 upper, and 14.5" barrel. I brought it to 16" like the OP did. I made the sling myself for less than $13.00 delivered.

K.I.S.S = Keep It Super Simple or Keep It Simple Stupid

either way, it's a no frills carbine. No fancy tacticool sights, lights, or any other accessories.

That is a strap from an old radio bag. Used to see pallets of the bags at COMM waiting to go to DRMO, on the way to get my new HMMV in 88 at Horno/ Pendleton.

I started working on my somewhat kiss build today.
Superior Arms lower with a Colt 603 stock. A2 grip only because I didn't have an A1 and I thought the Tango down would look dumb. Colt M16A1 upper and M4 handguards with a Wilson Hbar that I need to have turned down but I don't have the money right now. Its a start.

You guys with pencil barrels are speaking my language.

Carbines should be LIGHT!

What good are grenade launcher cuts and pinned flash hiders?

Tac Pro Shooting Center.

I headspaced an M2 at work today.

And that 2-quart canteen strap and a dollar worth of paracord is one of my  most favorite slings. Does everything I need it to, without being complicated. And it's very comfortable.
