I am wanting to take my flash hider off of my Radian 300BLK, so I purchased a Midwest Industries upper receiver rod (SKU: MI-URR). My problem is, the diameter of the BCG housing is too small for the rod to slid into. This rod fits through my other ARs and I don’t understand why.. The radian upper just has a smaller diameter I guess for whatever reason? Any suggestions? |

to remove the FS, remove float tube/hand guards, then use barrel vise block to hold barrel (at its center in place in the vise). As state, the upper claim shell bolt is only used to tighten the upper receiver socket barrel nut, since barrel nut is friction held in place on the upper barrel socket, with the barrel extension pin just used for initial indexing of the barrel to socket to begin with. As for reaction rods, the barrel extension is torqued to barrel at about 150ftlbs, one would never think that you should have to every put such force on a FS to remove it, bit if you do/or barrel nut not torqued to spec, since reaction rod is only holding lugs of barrel extension, there is a chance of just spinning the barrel loose in the barrel extension as well. So reaction rod at best, should only be used to index/slip just the barrel extension in the upper receiver only. |

| It’s hung up right at the entry just behind the ejection port. On another forum, one guy said he had a similar problem. And that the gun was pretty new and the amount of cerakote on the gun wasn’t allowing him to slide it in. After “500rds or so” he was able to slide it in. I have about 100rds through my radian, it’s pretty new. |
