Matrix Precision made the receiver sets for Ruger's discontinued 7.62 self-loader. They had the SR-25 / LMT / Armalite / Larue angle-cut. Note the location of the forward assist plunger (so a left-handed shooter doesn't get smacked in the kisser). I bought this Matrix-marked set for $200 in 2021:

I built this 7.62 rifle for my son using the receivers above and a Satern 1-9.4 twist barrel (Armalite rifle-length gas tube); Armalite BCG; Geissele trigger; and Midwest rail. It uses SR-25 pattern magazines:

Wow. This thread was started back in 2014 and I don't recall ever seeing it. The 308 are seems to be a jumbled mess. I'm just now building one. I got a stripped DPMS style lower and 5 Pmags.

Now, we have the POF Rogue family of forged 308 class AR 15s as well as the Ruger SFAR that takes a lot from the POF's designs.
