I was looking for a thinner somewhat lighter than standard Colt carbine handguards. The best quality reproduction XM177's seems to be the H&R made variant. Anybody ever change out a set on a Colt 6920 for this XM177 copy? What are your impressions? |
| The H&R ones are decent but my other go to is from Echo Nine Three. They're made by one of the original OEM contractors. |

I just received an Echo 93, and as far as I can tell the only difference between it and the Colts I have is that this one doesn’t have 23 years worth of oil and sweat on them so they aren’t as shiny. They don’t quite snap in and they’re going to require some mild sanding. |

I didn't have B5's at the time but I think I'd rank them between the Taiwanese and H&R, but closer to H&R. I just wihs B5 made shiny ones like the did with some of the LS2 grips. |
